Naturally in the process of turning logs into boards,there are byproducts of which there are many and varied uses. Sawdust produced at WOS is sold in bulk quantities to local companies at a reasonable price, supplying bedding to horse farms and dairy farms in a five state region. Sawdust is a natural, biodegradable absorbent and as a byproduct of the milling process this is a perfect use for what was once left in in the woods and can still be seen in piles at places in Penns woods.
